BASCD Masterclass Series 2023
Following on from the success of the 2021 BASCD Masterclass series, we are excited to offer a new suite of masterclass sessions commencing in summer 2023 for BASCD members.
This BASCD Masterclass series will aim to disseminate DBOH content, distilling some of the key messages with the opportunity for colleagues to discuss with the experts.
Session 4: ORAL CANCER, ALCOHOL, SMOKING & TOBACCO USE
With Joss Harding, Richard Holliday, and Julia Csikar
This final virtual session in the DBOH Masterclass series will focus on oral cancer, smoking and tobacco use, and alcohol in the context of dental public health.
The session will be delivered by three experts in their fields: Joss Harding, Richard Holiday, and Julia Csikar.
This will be followed by a Q&A session (please note that you will be able to submit any questions prior to the session during the registration process as well as during the session).

Please do not worry if you cannot attend the live online event, if you register the recording will be available.
Fees: Complimentary for BASCD members. A code has been emailed to BASCD members, after pressing the the green 'Book Now' button, please enter the code. £20 for non members.
Venue: online via Zoom. The access link will be emailed to you during the week before the event.
Aims: To update members and facilitate discussion around the chapters in DBOH covering oral cancer, alcohol, smoking and tobacco use from a dental public health perspective

- Evidence-based insights into the updates within the DBOH (v4) on oral cancer, alcohol, smoking and tobacco use
- An understanding of clinical recommendations for the prevention and management of oral cancer, tackling smoking and tobacco use and advising on alcohol consumption in the context of dental public health
GDC development outcomes: C, maintenance and development of knowledge and skill within your field of practice
